My name is Amy. I’m a 26 year old Mum to two toddlers. I live in Buckinghamshire with my long suffering Other Half. I volunteer part time for PANDAS Foundation (a charity supporting families suffering perinatal mental health issues) as I suffered anxiety, depression and birth trauma after having my first son.
I started running as a way to lose weight after having two babies, and recover from a blood clot/pulmonary embolism. It was also a way of getting time for myself – time not just being a ‘Mum’. I’ve lost a lot of weight since having the boys, through exercise and health eating, and am training now for strength and endurance.
In total, I’ve lost over 100lb.
Prior to having children I’d never run before. My current challenge is to run the Race To The Stones 100k non-stop next year. I’m blogging to document my training, my nutrition, and anything else related to this slightly weird goal!
